Who are you?

Justice Initiative Fund (JIF) is a non-profit organization engaged in private and journalistic investigations of the Russian Federation's war crimes in Ukraine

What is your aim?

We aim to gather data to help bring individuals suspected of war crimes to justice in the international and Ukraine courts. JIF also works to preserve the memory of Russian crimes in Ukraine, show the systemic nature of Russian actions, and try to ensure that such crimes are not committed again in the future. JIF's mission can be boiled down to our motto "Evil must have a name." We believe that in the case of war crimes, the trials must be accessible to the public and the name of the war criminals must be revealed

Who is backing you?

JIF is a private initiative of several individuals who themselves were victims of Russian war crimes. JIF will work to support the efforts of state institutions like Prosecutor General's Office in their work to find Russian war criminals

Is this legal?

JIF gathers data on the persons identified and wanted by Ukrainian and international law enforcement agencies. Gathering and/or buying this type of data is legal. In this way, our activities help investigate Russian war crimes committed in Ukraine and beyond

How do you pay?

Monetary rewards are attached to the names of every individuals suspected of war crimes. Reward is paid to the person who: 1) delivers an identified person suspected of war crimes to a Ukrainian or foreign law enforcement agency; 2) provides additional, previously unknown evidence of crimes of the wanted person; 3) provides information on a wanted person, that ensures bringing this person to justice. Rewards are paid confidentially in a way suitable for the provider of information

What is your return policy?

Funds donated are not refundable

What will I get for my money?

Because the Foundation works with information that is also used by Ukrainian special services, we will not be able to account for moneys spent until after the project’s goals are achieved

How else can I help?

Although our major aim is bringing perpetrators to justice, we also work to inform public about the crimes committed. Any help in this regard, including information about JIF is much appreciated
