    JUSTICE INITIATIVE FUND (https://jif.fund) is a platform developed in order to collect information about war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by the Russians in Ukraine. We believe that this directly influence the prosecution of already identified war criminals of the Russian Federation, both under Ukrainian law and within jurisdiction of international courts. JUSTICE INITIATIVE FUND ("Fund" or "we") protects and respects your privacy. We are committed to processing personal data securely and respecting privacy of the concerned individuals. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand how we will process your personal information, as well as other types of information. We may change or update this Privacy Policy. If there are any substantive changes to this Privacy Policy, we will bring them to your attention or we will clearly communicate these changes to you.

    1. Scope

    1.1. This Privacy Policy describes the Fund’s internal rules for personal data processing and protection. 1.2. The Fund is responsible for processing your personal information when using the Site in accordance with applicable data protection laws. We do not collect personal data and do not transfer it to third party unless it is needed for operation of the Site and related services. 1.3. The data related to the perpetrators can be transferred to the law enforcement bodies of Ukraine and international institutions of criminal justice for criminal prosecution of those who involved in the commission of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Ukraine during the Russian invasion.

    2. Data Processing Principles

    2.1.1. The Fund’s processing activities must be in line with the principles specified in this Section. 2.1.2. We must process the Personal Data in accordance with the following principles: 2.2.1. Lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner (lawfulness, fairness and transparency). We shall always have a legal ground for the processing, collect the amount of data adequate to the purpose and legal grounds; 2.2.2. Collected for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes and not further processed in a manner that is incompatible with those purposes (purpose limitation); 2.2.3. Adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary for the purposes for which they are processed (data minimization). We always make sure the data we collect is not excessive and limited by the strict necessity; 2.2.4. Process in a manner that ensures appropriate security of the Personal Data, including protection against unauthorized or unlawful processing and accidental loss, destruction or damage, using appropriate technical or organizational measures (confidentiality, integrity, and availability).

    3. Data usage

    3.1. To improve user experience the Site uses cookies. Cookies provide support for security functions, and also allow monitoring of violations of the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions. We gather statistics about visits to the Site are collected, such as the pages visited, the number of page views, the information that was downloaded, the domains of the Internet providers and the countries of origin of the visitors. None of these actions are linked to the visitor personally and are measured only in aggregate. 3.2. Information about the actions of visitors to the Site is collected and processed in order to improve the content of the Site, improve its functionality and, ultimately, create and provide high-quality services and content for visitors. At any time, you can change your browser settings in such a way that the browser blocks all cookies or notifies you about the sending of these files. At the same time, please note that some functions and services of the Site will not be able to work properly.

    4. Storage and security

    4.1. After receiving your information, we use strict security policies and procedures to control access to information and reduce the risk of loss, misuse, or unauthorized access to this information. 4.2. To protect your personal information, the Fund uses administrative, management and technical security measures. We adhere to international standards of control aimed at transactions with personal information and use control mechanisms to protect the information of our users. Our employees are trained to understand and implement these controls, and they are familiar with the Privacy Policy, its rules and instructions. However, while we strive to keep your personal information secure, you should also take steps to protect it. We strongly recommend that you take all possible security measures while on the Internet. 4.3. The platform created by the Fund are maximally protected against leakage, unauthorized use and change of information that we control. Although we do our best to ensure the integrity of the information and its confidentiality, we cannot guarantee that our security measures will help prevent illegal access to this information by hackers and interference with the operation of the Site by third parties. 4.4. When requested we let users know their data we are keeping to make sure Site works properly. When requested by a user, we delete her/his account. We do not delete personal data of the perpetrators needed for their successful detention even if they register accounts and then request their removal.

    5. Child safety

    5.1. Using online services, it is very important to protect the safety of children. We do not knowingly collect information from children. In case of changes to this Privacy Policy, you will be able to read about all changes on our Site.
