    Olenivka prison

    On 29 July 2022, during the Russian invasion of Ukraine, a building housing Ukrainian prisoners of war in a Russian-operated prison in Molodizhne near Olenivka was destroyed, killing 53 Ukrainian prisoners of war and leaving 75 wounded. Subsequently, law enforcement agencies of Ukraine established the fact of systematic war crimes against Ukrainian prisoners of war and civilians held in the Olenivka prison, including beatings, torture with electric shocks and sexual violence.
